Bobcats Fall to Penn State

The Bobcats had a pair of home games this past weekend against the Southeast #5 ranked Penn State Ice Lions. On Friday night, the Bobcats found themselves down 2-1 going into the third period. Two quick goals early in the third gave the Ice Lions a three goal lead. However, the Bobcats were able to fight back from their 4-1 deficit and capitalize on two opportunities. #14 Austin Reynolds (4) and #4 Jordan Frasse (10) both scored late in the third period but that wasn't enough. The Bobcats fell by a score of 4-3.

On Saturday, the two teams returned for a second game. The Bobcats were unable to get any goals past Ice Lions goaltender #32 Michael Degaetano, who stopped 23. The Ice Lions scored 2 on the Bobcats # 33 Jake Bloomfield on 32 shots. These are the first back-to-back losses for the Bobcats on the season.

Games return next weekend as the Bobcats visit the Southeast #3 ranked University of Toledo.
