Bobcats 2016-17 Schedule Released


The Ohio Bobcats 2016-17 regular season schedule includes 32 total games featuring 20 home games and 12 away games. The highlights of this season begin with a home opener during Ohio University’s parent’s weekend Saturday September 24th at 2:30pm against the University of Cincinnati. The next highlight of the year is a rematch against the University of Miami, who ended the Bobcats season last year with a 4-1 victory in the final day of the 2016 ACHA Southeast Regional Tournament. This rematch will take place on Saturday, October 22nd at 2:30pm and is one you won’t want to miss. Ohio University’s next big weekend is dad’s weekend and the Bobcats will take on the Ohio State Buckeye’s on Friday, November 4th at 10:00pm. The following weekend will feature 9 total ACHA Southeast Region games played at Bird Arena as the Bobcats play host to Dayton, Liberty, Louisville, Rowan and Virginia Tech in a Showcase format. The Bobcats will first take on Virginia Tech on Friday, November 11th at 4:00pm, Rowan on Saturday, November 12th at 6:00pm and Liberty on Sunday, November 13th at 3:30pm. The last highlight of the first half is a rematch against TSCHL rival University of Louisville on Friday, December 2nd at 10:00pm and Saturday, December 3rd at 2:30pm. The Bobcats second half will feature their annual senior night on Saturday, February 11th at 7:30pm against the University of Pittsburgh. Other featured opponents during the 2016-17 season are Bowling Green State University, University of Dayton, University of Delaware, Penn State University, University of Toledo and University of Maryland Baltimore-County, along with other TSCHL rivals.
